Making Waves zoekt een Technisch Producent
We zoeken een Technisch Producent die het technische DNA van onze producties bewaakt en doorontwikkelt. Iemand die complexe artistieke en productionele plannen vertaalt naar technisch haalbare en uitvoerbare producties én die bouwt aan een schaalbare technische standaard die met ons meegroeit.
Als Technisch Producent ben jij verantwoordelijk voor alles wat technisch is: technische tekeningen, riders, AV, rigging en stroom.

Making Waves is een ambitieuze evenementenorganisatie actief binnen de dance- en theatersector. Met merken als Cinema in Concert, ZeeZout, By the Creek en Ohm Festival produceren we uiteenlopende live-evenementen: van filmconcerten in Het Concertgebouw en grootschalige concerten in Rotterdam Ahoy tot unieke festivals, club nachten en bijzondere cross-over events.

Over de rol
Als Technisch Producent ben je het technische hart van Making Waves. Jij vertaalt artistieke en productionele plannen naar concrete technische uitvoering: van festival plattegrond tot stage plot en van rigging plan tot stroomplan.
Jij bent de continue technische brug, degene die zorgt dat technische standaarden, leveranciersrelaties en productiekwaliteit consistent zijn over alle evenementen heen. Samen met vier collega’s ben je als productieteam verantwoordelijk voor het produceren van al onze eigen evenementen, van festivals tot concerten.
Wat ga je doen?
- 2D en 3D tekeningen maken in Vectorworks (of vergelijkbaar) voor al onze producties
- Technische riders opstellen en bewaken (audio, video, lighting, rigging, power)
- Venue-riders matchen aan onze productionele eisen, knelpunten signaleren en oplossen
- Bijdragen aan de technische strategie en standaardisatie over labels heen
- Technische lessons learned vastleggen en doorvoeren in templates en processen
- Begeleiden en coachen van collega’s met het uitwerken van technische tekeningen
Wat breng je mee?
- 5+ jaar ervaring als Technisch Producent of vergelijkbaar binnen evenementen / concerten / theater / festivals
- Vereist: Vloeiend met Vectorworks of SCAD Re-Event zowel 2D als 3D voor plattegronden en tekeningen
- Diepgaande AV kennis
- Stressbestendig, oplossingsgericht en flexibel
- Flexibel in werktijden en bereid om te reizen
- Je bent in het bezit van Rijbewijs B
- Woonachtig in Amsterdam of omstreken

We’re looking for a Technical Producer who safeguards and develops the technical DNA of our productions. Someone who translates complex artistic and production plans into technically feasible and executable productions — and who builds a scalable technical standard that grows with us.
As a Technical Producer you are responsible for everything technical: technical drawings, riders, AV, rigging and power.

Making Waves is an ambitious events organisation active in the dance and theatre sectors. With brands like Cinema in Concert, ZeeZout, By the Creek and Ohm Festival, we produce a wide variety of live events: from film concerts in Het Concertgebouw and large-scale concerts in Rotterdam Ahoy to unique festivals, club nights and distinctive cross-over events.
From Amsterdam we create unforgettable experiences. We develop and produce our events fully in-house: from concept and production to marketing and bookings. Driven by quality, creativity and a distinctive audience experience.
About the role
As a Technical Producer you are the technical heart of Making Waves. You translate artistic and production plans into concrete technical execution: from festival site plan to stage plot, and from rigging plan to power plan.
You are the continuous technical bridge — the one who ensures technical standards, supplier relationships and production quality remain consistent across all events. Together with four colleagues, you form the production team responsible for producing all of our own events, from festivals to concerts.
What will you do?
- Create 2D and 3D drawings in Vectorworks (or comparable software) for all our productions
- Build and safeguard technical riders (audio, video, lighting, rigging, power)
- Match venue riders to our production requirements, identify bottlenecks and resolve them
- Contribute to the technical strategy and standardisation across labels
- Capture technical lessons learned and translate them into templates and processes
- Guide and coach colleagues in developing technical drawings
What do you bring?
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Producer or similar role in events / concerts / theatre / festivals
- Required: fluent in Vectorworks or SCAD Re-Event in both 2D and 3D for site plans and drawings
- In-depth AV knowledge
- Stress-resistant, solution-oriented and flexible
- Flexible in working hours and willing to travel
- Holder of a driver’s license (category B)
- Based in or around Amsterdam
